Daumier captures the real life experience of Visiting The Dentist in the 19th century. Using rudimentary tools, the dentist inspects his patient's mouth. Taken from a Daumier lithograph, this sculpture is a faithful adaptation in three dimensions of the original.
HONORE DAUMIER (1808-1879) French artist, lithographer, caricaturist and painter who was famed for his biting satire. He was imprisoned once for six months in 1832 after drawing a cartoon of King Louis Philippe.
