Eros Bust Statue

The Greek Eros statue represents the Son of Venus, Aphrodite, and in Greek mythology was the god of love, also known as Cupid to the Romans, and eternally the youngest of the gods. His father was unknown, though it was widely believed that it was either Zeus, Ares, or Hermes. Mythology has it that he wears a quiver from which he draws arrows to shoot with his bow into human hearts, causing them to fall in love. At times, he is armed with a helmet, shield and spear, and often depicted riding a lion or dolphin. It is only the modern trend for a Cupid statue to look like a fat baby with angel wings.
